Jacob Zainea, O.D.

Dr. Jacob Zainea grew up in Midland, Michigan, and attended Alma College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Health Sciences. While at Alma, he played football for four years and participated in competitive powerlifting.

He continued his education at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, where his training focused heavily on ocular disease management and pediatric care. During this time, he worked with children in the Chicago public school system and completed clinical rotations in pediatric clinics and at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw.

Dr. Zainea enjoys providing comprehensive eye care and helping patients maintain long-term eye health.

Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, weightlifting, and spending time outdoors with his dogs. He and his wife, Erin, are avid football fans and regularly attend Central Michigan University football games.
